Research, Analytics & Design - Part of EDDG (Experience Design & Development Group)

Workday’s RAD organization within EDDG encompasses product, visual, system, and content designers, as well as researchers and data analysis specialists. I serve as a UX Design Manager in the product design sub-organization, leading a small team of individual contributors focused on the HR space.

Initially, I started in the Talent product pillar, overseeing talent-related products such as performance reviews, career pathing, and goals/OKRs. After a reorganization of personnel, I shifted to the HR Core and Time Management space under the HCM (Human Capital Management) product pillar, which constitutes a significant portion of Workday’s ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue). Here, I managed a lean but highly capable group of product designers responsible for designing core HCM functions across multiple primary user types (casual, manager, professional, and administrator).

RAD Product Design

Leveraging my extensive experience in the enterprise space, I helped elevate the overall UX maturity of our stakeholder organizations through continuous advocacy of proper design and research practices, UX education presentations, business applications, and building relationships with product teams. As the business transitioned from product solution offerings to platform solution offerings, product teams increasingly needed to focus on end-to-end experiences rather than siloed solutions. My team and I were well-prepared to bridge these gaps and design comprehensive end-to-end solutions for our users. Our lean, horizontally-focused team had a distinct advantage in this ongoing endeavor.

HCM Design Team

Being a people leader at Workday is an honor. As part of a leading provider of enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resources, setting an example of great leadership is crucial. Through regularly scheduled trainings, 360 feedback loops, and a diverse, equitable, and inclusive company culture, I have continually improved and refined my leadership skills. By fostering an environment of open discussions and debates, I ensured that my team was aligned towards achieving common goals. Consistent great performance allowed me to promote individuals who were ready for the next level and coach others to be successful in their projects, setting them up for future career growth.
